links

At Epicentre we call our small groups "Links"
Our links function to link people to God, link people to people and link the church to the community.

So why Links ?

Anything done in the name of Jesus, in the name of love, is ministry. We must elevate the multiple ways that people can minister. People need to be able to serve in areas that excite them. No one needs to just fill in time; it has to be purposeful, fulfilling and fruitful. Passion changes everything. We are destined to be an infectious influence. The majority of our community at this point will not come to our Sunday service, but as we all play a part (1 Chronicles 28: 9-10, 20-21) we increase our capacity to reach multiple people.

What is a Link ?

Links are places where we learn, grow, take responsibility for our lives and introduce our friends to faith in Jesus; a place to be transparent and honest, helping everyone to grow in our love for God and others.

They meet in a number of different locations, including coffee shops, restaurants and homes. Most groups meet fortnightly and are at different times and days. Our goal is to accommodate the different needs of those in our church and community by offering a variety of programs and options.

What do Links do ?

This can vary from link to link, but most links have a time of encouragement, prayer, Bible or book study, discussion, and life application. Norally the link study is based upon the teaching from Sunday's sermon.

We also encourage our links to serve the community together. It's amazing what God can do through a group of people as they use their skills, gifts and resources to help those in need. It might be giving blood, a school working bee, a clean up around town, cooking meals, baby sitting for a night etc.

How do I find a Link ?

On a Sunday ask one of the Pastors to give you more info on our Links.
Hopefully they will introduce you to some of our Link Leaders right then and there. Once you connect with a Link Leader and find out about the details of their link, just show up and check it out! Hopefully, you’ll feel right at home with the first link you visit, but you may want to visit several links before you find one that's right for you.
